Mind Bytes 2025
Mind Bytes is a celebration of scholarship and research computing. It is a unique event that brings together faculty, staff, and students from every corner of the University who share an interest in high-end computing, data, scientific visualization, and the use of computation and data to advance what is considered state of the art in their fields.
Mind Bytes 2025 will be at Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E 59th St, Chicago, IL 60637, on April 23rd, 2025 starting at noon.
Tentative program:
12-1pm: Lunch, poster viewing, demos, and research highlights
1-1:15pm: Welcome & opening remarks
1:15-2pm: Keynote address by Joseph Olive (DARPA Program Manager of the Global Autonomous Language Exploration (GALE) program)
2-3pm: Faculty Lightning Talks
3-3:20pm: Break
3:20-4:10: Fireside chat: Perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and future of AI from leaders in Business, Law, and Public Policy
4:10-4:25pm: Closing remarks & awards
